The Word of the Day is Gift
Scripture: 2 Timothy 1:5–7 (MSG)
Intro Thought
God places something meaningful and powerful inside every one of us. It’s not accidental, ordinary, or replaceable. It is a gift—a spiritual deposit designed to bless others and bring glory to God. Paul reminded Timothy that his gift came with a calling to courage, love, and clear-minded faithfulness. That same reminder is for us today: God never gives a gift without giving the strength to use it.
“Your gift is God’s whisper that you are needed.”
A gift is a God-given ability, grace, or spiritual deposit placed within a person to bless others and glorify God.
Your gift is part of God’s intentional design for your life. It has been shaped by your story, strengthened through your journey, and ignited by the Holy Spirit. You are not called to hide it, fear it, or compare it—only to stir it up and allow it to shine. The world is blessed when you use what God has placed within you.
Reflection Questions
1. What spiritual gifts or abilities has God placed within me that I may be overlooking or underusing.
2. In what ways have fear, comparison, or doubt tried to silence or diminish my gifts?
3. What practical step can I take today to “fan into flame” the gift God placed in me?
Prayer
Lord, thank You for placing unique gifts within me. Give me clarity to recognize them, courage to use them, and grace to grow in them. Remove every fear that keeps me from living boldly in Your purpose. Fill me with power, love, and a sound mind as I use my gift to honor You. Amen. Amen and Amen.
Takeaway
Your gift is meant to shine—stir it up and use it with courage and confidence. The word of the day is “Gift”.
