The Word of the Day is Presence
Scripture (MSG – 1 Kings 8:59–61)
“And may these words that I’ve prayed to God be always before God, day and night, that he will do what needs to be done for his servant and his people Israel—day by day—so that all the peoples of the Earth may know that God is God. There is no other. And may you live wholehearted lives in the presence of God, our God, keeping his commandments and obeying his statutes, following the path he has cleared.”
“God’s presence is not something we work our way into—it is the gift we wake up to.”
Presence is the nearness of God—God's attentive, active, and faithful closeness—sustaining us day by day and shaping how we live wholeheartedly. Presence is not about location; it is about awareness. Solomon’s prayer reminds us that God is not distant or disengaged. God is near—day and night—tending to what needs to be done in our lives, often in ways we cannot see. Divine presence is steady, not seasonal. It remains constant, unaffected by our emotions, performance, or circumstances. Living in God’s presence means choosing a wholehearted life. It means waking up each day aware that we are already seen, already known, already accompanied. God’s nearness is not meant to overwhelm us but to anchor us—guiding our steps, shaping our choices, and reminding us that we never carry our burdens alone. When we live with this awareness, our lives quietly witness to the world: God is God, and there is no other. God's presence becomes our posture, our peace, and our path. God’s presence is constant, faithful, and purposeful. As we live with awareness of God's nearness, we are invited into wholehearted lives—rooted in trust, obedience, and daily dependence on the God who stays close. The word of the day is “Presence”.

Prayer
Faithful God,
Thank You for being near—day and night—whether I notice or not. Help me live with awareness of Your presence and courage to trust Your nearness in every moment. Teach me to walk wholeheartedly before You, following the path You have already prepared. Let my life bear witness that You are God, and there is no other. Amen. Amen and Amen.
