The Word of the Day is Knowledge
Scripture (CEB) — Book of Habakkuk 2:14
"The earth will be filled with the knowledge of the LORD’s glory, just as the water covers the sea."
We live in an age overflowing with information but starving for wisdom. Notifications flash, headlines scroll, and opinions multiply. Yet knowledge in Scripture is not about accumulation—it is about revelation. It is not merely knowing about God; it is knowing God in a way that transforms how we live, lead, and love. The prophet declares that the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord’s glory as waters cover the sea. That is not partial. That is not shallow. That is complete saturation. When God’s knowledge fills us, it does not inform us—it transforms us. In our communities, in our leadership, in our families, and even in the tension of cultural divides, true knowledge brings clarity, humility, and unity. It anchors us in truth when confusion is loud. It steadies us when culture shifts. It reminds us that God’s glory is greater than our circumstances.
“Information fills the mind, but the knowledge of God fills the soul.”
Knowledge means a deep, relational understanding of God’s character, will, and glory that shapes belief, behavior, and purpose.
Habakkuk’s vision reminds us that God’s glory is not hidden or scarce—it is expansive and unstoppable. True knowledge is not merely intellectual awareness but spiritual illumination. As we grow in knowledge of the Lord, our perspective widens, our compassion deepens, and our lives begin to reflect His glory in tangible ways. The more we know Him, the more we become like Him. The word of the day is “Knowledge”.
Reflection Questions
1. Am I pursuing information about God, or intimacy with God?
2. How does my current knowledge of God influence my decisions and leadership?
3. In what area of my life do I need God’s truth to replace confusion or assumption?
Prayer
Lord, fill my heart with the knowledge of Your glory. Saturate my thinking, my decisions, and my relationships with Your truth. Move me beyond surface understanding into deep, transforming awareness of who You are. Let Your knowledge steady me in uncertain times and shape me into a reflection of Your character. May my life contribute to the earth being filled with Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen. Amen and Amen.
