The Word of the Day is Blessed
Psalm 68:19–23 (MSG) — “Blessed be the Lord—day after day he carries us along… He frees us… He protects us… He rescues us from death.”
Introductory Thought
“Blessing is not the absence of struggle; it is the presence of God carrying you through it.”
Blessed means sustained, carried, and strengthened by God’s active goodness—God's provision, protection, and faithful presence in every part of life.
Reflection
To be blessed is far more than receiving good things. Psalm 68 reminds us that blessing is God’s steady, daily involvement in our lives. God doesn’t simply observe our journey—God carries us through it. God shoulders our burdens, protects us from harm, frees us from what weighs us down, and rescues us when life feels overwhelming. Being blessed means we do not walk alone. Even when the road is complex or uncertain, God is close, lifting, guiding, and strengthening us. God's blessing is not a promise of ease but a promise of presence. And God's presence makes all the difference. Being blessed means being daily carried and sustained by God’s faithful presence, protection, and strength.
Reflection Questions
1. Where have you sensed God carrying you recently?
2. What burdens do you need to place in God’s hands today?
3. How can you grow more aware of God’s daily blessings in your life?
Prayer
Lord, thank You for carrying me every day. Thank You for the blessings I see and the ones I miss. Lift the weights I can’t bear alone. Protect me from what I cannot see. Free me from what holds me down. Help me walk in gratitude and confidence, knowing I am blessed because You are with me. Amen. Amen and Amen.
Takeaway:
You are blessed because God carries you—every day, in every season.
